How to become one of our 100 Friends

United We Stand! Please consider to support our project with buying one of these UNIQUE photoworks

with the commemoration in 2014-2018 of the First World War, the Brussels-based poet/writer and historian Serge R. van Duijnhoven and Dutch photographer L.J.A.D. Creyghton are on the eve of a major international literary and photo project titled: “If only we had spoken the same language”.

For this project we are looking for partners, sponsors and patrons as well as individuals up to 100 “Friends” to support us in our project. To become a Friend we are asking you for the sum of 1418,00 Euro each towards this worthwile project. We appreciate this is a serious amount of money to support our special project but you will be rewarded in several ways in return for your contribution:

•  you may choose from two photographic works:

Menen_Vierstraat / dimension 33 x 75cm

Ypres_beet roots / dimension 32 x 70cm

These high quality C-prints on a layer of 4mm dibond and finished with a lustrous 3mm perspex coating have a gallery value of € 1600,- each.

Together the two prints form a limited edition of 100. In the handwriting of author Van Duijnhoven the back of every work will get one or more lines from a new poem he especially made for this occasion: Last Post, Lost Past. In this way the 100 works together form the complete poem and unite our 100 Friends with each other.

• attribution in the book, the website and the Museum Exhibition in Ypres, Belgium [unless you indicate you would like to remain anonymous]

•  a signed copy of the book by both authors

• and, finally, you will be kept informed on the progress of the project through emails and a private Facebook page

If our project may count on your sympathy and you want to actively participate by becoming one of our 100 Friends, then please transfer 1418,00 Euro (excl. shipping) to ING bank account number NL85INGB 0004692708 (BIC INGBNL2A) of mr. L.J.A.D. Creyghton, Haaren, the Netherlands, under the reference: “Donation Art Project Hindenburg line”.

Alternatevely you might use the PayPal button on this website or send us an email that your’re interested in participating.

Upon receipt of your donation, you will receive an invoice for your records and you can make your choice of photowork. That is then put into production so that it is ready for you within six weeks. We do not want you to wait for the opening in 2016 to receive your photograph because, if the project on the whole or partly due to unforseen circumstances is cancelled and will not go ahead as we planned, then you already have had the photo work as 100% compensation for your financial support.

Of course we hope that this particular project — that at its core is about humanity, compassion, empathy, reconciliation, respect and the self-cleaning ability of man and nature — can count on your interest and that you want to become one of our 100 Friends so “If only we had spoken the same language!” comes to bloom with the moral and financial help from lots of people.

If you have any questions, please call or email us. And if you have any suggestions or know individuals or parties that may be interested in participating in any form, we are most grateful if you recommend us.

With the help of your contribution and support we will be able to undertake this important literary and photographic project which documents the historic battles taken place 100 years ago and devastated a whole generation of people.

We hope we can build this project supported by many people and awaite for your response,

Serge R. van Duijnhoven  &  L.J.A.D. Creyghton
